ER347: IP expects works to begin by year-end

Infraestruturas de Portugal told the Municipality of Penela that it is finalising the execution project for the storm-damaged ER347 section in the Serra do Espinhal and expects procurement to start during October.

IP says this timetable should allow construction to begin by the end of 2026. It is also open to assessing municipal cooperation on a temporary solution, particularly for emergency and civil-protection vehicles.

The notice does not confirm a reopening date or an approved temporary route. Treat the road as interrupted until an official traffic update says otherwise.
