Our approach
The site is designed around the principles of perceivable content, operable controls, understandable language and robust semantic structure. The working target is WCAG 2.2 level AA and the accessibility requirements applicable to digital services in Portugal.
This statement is a practical account of the current service, not a claim that every third-party page or historic item has been independently certified.
Measures already in place
- A skip link and semantic page landmarks support keyboard and assistive-technology navigation.
- Links, buttons and form controls have visible keyboard focus, accessible names and readable text sizing.
- The layout responds to mobile screens and zoom, while reduced-motion preferences disable non-essential animation.
- Colour choices are designed for readable contrast and information is not communicated by colour alone.
- Sofia is optional, can be used with text, and does not replace the normal contact route.
Known external limitations
Embedded maps, Instagram media, municipal documents and the optional Presença AI assistant are supplied by third parties and may not provide the same level of accessibility as the Discover Penela interface. Where possible, the page also provides written information, a source link or an email route.
If an external document or interactive feature prevents access to information you need, ask for an accessible alternative.
Report a barrier
Write to dosreisruben@gmail.com with the page address, the problem encountered and the format or assistance that would help. Accessibility reports are reviewed without affecting any commercial relationship.
This statement will be updated when the service, applicable requirements or known limitations materially change.
