Municipality provides workbooks for all basic-education pupils
For the 2026–27 academic year, the municipality will provide workbooks and activity books to every pupil in the municipality from Year 1 through Year 9.
Parents and guardians should not buy these materials. They will be distributed at the start of the academic year in coordination with Agrupamento de Escolas Infante D. Pedro — Penela.
The measure is intended to ease costs for families and support equal access to education. Use the original notice below for any distribution changes.
What families should do now
Do not independently buy the workbooks and activity books covered by the announcement. Wait for information from Agrupamento de Escolas Infante D. Pedro — Penela about the materials associated with the pupil’s year and class.
What may still be separate
The measure concerns the stated workbooks and activity books. Personal stationery, specialist materials or items requested for a particular subject may follow different arrangements, so use the school list rather than assuming every start-of-year item is included.
When materials are distributed
Check the pupil’s name, year and class, and report a missing, damaged or incorrect title to the school before purchasing a replacement. Families joining or changing school should contact the school office promptly so the pupil can be added to the correct distribution.
