Online municipal services

Understand the service here, then open the official transaction only when you are ready.

The municipal online portal is used for authenticated requests and administrative processes. This page explains the route before sending you into the formal service.

01

Prepare first

Know which service you need and gather identification, property or process references, and any supporting documents. The official portal may require an account.

  • Choose the relevant request
  • Attach clear, complete documents
  • Keep the submission reference
  • Use the One-Stop Service Desk if the process cannot be completed online
02

Why the final step is official

Formal applications must still be submitted to the municipality’s authenticated system. Everything before that step is explained within Penela here.

03

Build a complete submission

Use clear filenames, scan every page upright and make sure names, property references and dates agree across the form and attachments. A complete first submission is easier to route and less likely to come back for basic corrections.

Before closing the portal, save the confirmation or reference number. It is the most useful detail when you later ask the One-Stop Service Desk about progress.

04

If the digital route does not work

Take a screenshot of the error without exposing passwords or full identity numbers. Note the service, date and step that failed, then contact municipal services. A technical error does not change a formal deadline, so ask promptly about an accepted alternative submission route.
